Public PYC Events:
The good news is that we are back to full capacity (150 people indoors), and this makes us hopeful that we can hold our Christmas Dance on November 27th. Dancing is now permitted with masking!
However, as you probably already know, government rules dictate that, for the next while, we (at PYC) must write down the name and phone number of each and every attendee at all of our public events / gatherings, and we must ask for proof of double vaccination along with pictured id when allowing people to attend. This will hold true for all of our events such as the Haul Out of the Docks, the AGM meeting, and the Christmas Dance, etc.
The Twin Oaks Hospital will be doing the same for their Flu Clinic on November 19th and 20th.
Private Rental Events:
For weddings (and a few other large semi-private events permitted by Nova Scotia Health), renters are obliged to follow the same rules as PYC and, if it is not possible for them to do so, they will be unable to hold their events.
Private events (other than those mentioned above) are heavily restricted, with renters being held to a limit of 25 persons indoors. In this case, we recommend our renters to take attendance even if they are not inclined to request proof of vaccination.
Please be kind to our door monitors, as they follow the mandated provincial guidelines intended to keep our community safe.
To obtain your proof of full vaccine from the province of Nova Scotia, please visit novascotia.ca/immunizationrecord or call 1-833-797-7772.
We thank you for your patience and understanding during these unprecedented times.
