2026 Junior Sailing Lessons

 

Wet Feet 

Ages 6-8

Designed to give young sailors a fun and safe first sailing experience and learn the basics of sailing.

The goal of this class is for participants to learn the basics of sailing while becoming comfortable being in a boat and on the water.

CANSail 1 & 2:

Ages 8-16

Designed to teach Sailors the basics of dinghy sailing and get them comfortable skippering and crewing in single and double-handed boats.

The program will follow the Sail Canada CANSail 1&2 curriculum. 

 

CANSail 3 & 4

Progressively builds and develops skills learned in CANSail 1&2, with a focus on keeping the sailor engaged with stage appropriate challenges and learning.

Sailors must have successfully completed CANSail 2.

PYC Race Team - New this year !!

The PYC Race Team is for those sailors who wish to learn to race and attend local and regional regattas. The Race Team will teach basic and advanced race tactics while continuing to work on advanced sailing skills. The race program will follow the Sail Canada CANSail 4 and 5 Curriculum.

Sailors must have successfully completed CANSail 3.

Adult Sailing Lessons

Adult 420 - CANSail 1 & 2

This course, taught in our 420 Dinghies, will teach fundamental sailing skills such as rigging, steering, basic sail controls and the points of sail.

The course will follow the CANSail 1 & 2 curriculum.
