Ataraxia is currently trailered at the Petpeswick Yacht Club. The trailer is strictly a yard trailer. It is also actuated at the front axle. So it is challenging, especially to reverse. The hull was built in Lake Constance, Germany and the rest of the boat was rebuilt in Bremen, Germany, with over 1000 hours put in.
The boat was shipped to NS and has been in Petpeswick Inlet ever since. We bought it from my Uncle with the intention to maintain and sail it together. He tragically passed away before this could happen. We were left without his experience and expertise. In the summer of 2024 we spent over a month building a new rudder, redoing the bright work and got it on the float after years on the hard. It was a pleasure to sail and the boat looks beautiful in the water.
Our growing family lives in Alberta, and so realistically we will not have the time to dedicate to this beautiful boat. We put a lot of work into this boat, and though there is more to put in we'd like to start by asking $10,000. The price reflects both the condition the boat is in because of the work we did and the potential it has.
