Petpeswick Yacht Club Surplus Dock Equipment Bid Package
Petpeswick Yacht Club has a number of dock floats, and flotation cells for dock floats, which are surplus to the club’s needs. This equipment will be offered to PYC members to submit bids for a period of approximately one month from the opening of the bidding period. Any equipment which is unsold at the end of the members-only period will be offered to the general public.
Equipment Description
Dock #1 - Size 27’ 5” x 4’ 4”, rectangular and flared out at one end (Minimum bid $250)
Dock #2 - Size 32’ x 5’, rectangular (Minimum bid $250)
Dock #3 - Size 28’ 4” x 4’4”, rectangular and flared out at one end (Minimum bid $250)
Dock #4 - Size 32’ x 6’, rectangular (Minimum bid $250)
Dock #5 - Size 35’ 6” x 4’ 4”, rectangular and flared out at one end (Minimum bid $250)
Dock #6 - Size 24’ x 6’, rectangular, some decking missing (Minimum bid $200)
Dock #7 - Size 16’ x 6’, rectangular, some decking missing (Minimum bid $200)
Dock #8 - Size 16’ x 6’, rectangular, has frame and flotation but NO decking (Minimum bid $150)
Flotation Cells
5 pairs of mounted cells (Minimum bid $100 per pair)
4 individual cells (Minimum bid $50 per cell)
Notes re: Equipment
Dimensions are approximate. Bidders should make their own measurements before bidding.
Some docks are Low-profile with styrofoam flotation and some are High-profile with plastic floatation cells
All equipment is used and is sold as-is, where-is, with the winning bidder responsible for removal.
Financial Terms
- E-transfer deposit (or cheque) for minimum bid value must accompany each bid.
- Bids should be emailed to secretary@petpeswickyachtclub.ca
- Deposits should be sent to petpeswickyc@gmail.com . **Note: In the description field CLEARLY indicate your name and the item you are bidding on. **
- Deposit amounts will be refunded to unsuccessful bidders.
- Deposits from successful bidders will be applied against the successful bid value.
- Full payment of successful bids must be made one week prior to removal of equipment from PYC.
- Successful bidders who fail to remove their equipment by May 31/25 WILL LOSE THEIR DEPOSITS, and that equipment will be re-offered for bidding or offered to the next highest bidder, at PYC management’s final discretion.
- If there are multiple tied successful bids for a piece of equipment, those bidders will be offered an opportunity to raise their bids. If bids remain tied after this step, the winner will be determined by a chance-based process (e.g. coin toss) at PYC Management’s final discretion.
- Bids phrased as “I’ll bid $xxx for any one of Docks #1,3, or 5” (for example) will be accepted.
- All sales are final.
